After last visit with the endocrinologist, he insisted I step down my calcium and perhaps change the formulation from the citrate to TCP. My norm was 1500-2000 mg cal citrate daily. Now I'm taking 1000 mg TCP.
I might need to adjust other things (such as decreasing or eliminating my daily Colace) as a result, to keep things middle-of-the-road manageable. I don't want to go from one extreme (constipation/impaction) to the other (sudden onset liquefied shame).
But so far, so good. I think.
The goal is to have me on the lowest amount of supplementation as necessary, as there's drawbacks to too much calcium (kidney stones, thyroid irregularities, bowel issues).
